TO ALL SALVER RECIPIENTS – TRANSPORT CLASSICS 2016

FR30SEP16 – 0715:  Good morning, all.  Thanks to all award recipients who have sent us photos as requested.  If you don’t appear in the Gallery, would you send us a photo of you holding your award, looking very happy next to your vehicle, please???  Please send it, as an attachment, to showplanningteam@btinternet.com   We do wish to celebrate you and your vehicle.  THANK YOU.  ATB – John Gradwell.

REPEAT REQUEST – TO THE OWNER OF THE 1931 PLYMOUTH SEDAN – 452XUH

TH29SEP16 – 1545:  If you are the owner of the beautiful 1931 Plymouth Sedan, 452 XUH, please contact us – you’ve won an engraved salver.  It’s here in front of me now waiting to be claimed.  Unfortunately, we don’t know who you are or your address.  Every other award was presented on the day, or delivered by hand, or posted to owners.  Thank you to those of you who have confirmed that you’ve received your posted parcel from us.  It would be good if we could receive a short email confirmation to say that you’ve received your award if you appear on the list of award recipients.  We, once again, sincerely apologise if you were delayed at the end of our event.  We are reviewing the end of the Show to make every second of the event successful.  There were some complications and disappointments after 4pm this year.  The rest of the event was great and we thank everyone for your contributions.  ATB – John Gradwell

HOW TO IMPROVE TRANSPORT CLASSICS

TH29SEP16 – 1415:  Many of you know us very well.  We meet every year, and you have always contributed to the organisation and direction of the event.  We have always been very honest with each other about what should happen before, during and after the event.  Transport Classics has been developing for some years now, and we always aim to improve every year.  We always include owners in discussions about how we can improve.  We aim to make every Show better than the last.  It is always very disappointing to hear of issues that indicate that we should have done much better.  Those of you who know how we operate have used showplanningteam@btinternet.com to tell us exactly your experiences at Transport Classics.  We thrive on compliments, of which there are many, and listen and respond to your suggestions about how to improve.  The Show has changed very considerably over the years because we’ve responded to many suggestions made by owners.  Please never forget that you are very important to us.  We’ve always said that there would be NO SHOW WITHOUT YOU.  That will never change for as long as I’m involved in it.  Sadly, there are concerns here because of a timing issue that happened right at the end of the Show on 13th August.  It would be very helpful if any complaint or suggestion of any sort could be sent to me directly through showplanningteam@btinternet , please.  I’d like to hear what the issues actually are.  May I remind everyone that you pay nothing to display your vehicle at this Show at this time.  The judges and marshals are all volunteers who continue to do a magnificent job, and I thank them all for their contributions.  The primary objective of the event is to raise resources for those in need.  This is a charity event.  All the salvers were awarded at the Show, or were delivered to owners, or were posted to you.  I paid for the postage.  Some of what I have heard is not correct and I need to be sure of the facts before we can develop this event beyond what it is now.  I think  that everyone with a complaint should also have an explanation.  I will apologise again if your departure from our Show was delayed.  Please also visit the Gallery to see how we’re responding to the issue of who received the awards.  The aim is to name award recipients and add photos only if you approve.  If you don’t send us a photo including yourself, we intend to display a photo of your vehicle with a caption indicating the award it achieved.  Please contact me if you have any complaint or objection or development to suggest.  THANK YOU.  John Gradwell.

TO THE OWNER OF THE 1931 PLYMOUTH SEDAN – 452XUH

FR23SEP16 – 1500:  If you are the owner of the beautiful 1931 Plymouth Sedan, 452 XUH, please contact us – you’ve won an engraved salver.

IF YOU’VE RECEIVED AN AWARD FROM US THROUGH THE POST

SA17SEP16 – 0645:  If you’ve received an award from us through the post and haven’t contacted us, would you please confirm that you’ve received your award??  Would you also send us a photograph of you holding your award next to your vehicle, please??  We plan to insert these pictures into the website.  This will only happen with your permission, of course.  THANK YOU to those of you who have already responded very positively to this request.  We apologise, once again, for the delays at the end of the Show on 13th August.  We did plan to present awards before the end of the event.  We’re still trying to trace the owner of the Plymouth Sedan 452XUH.  He arrived on the day but left neither his name nor address with us.  His award is here in front of me now waiting to be sent to him.  The picture of the vehicle is within the website.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.  ATB.  John Gradwell – Show Co-ordinator.
